ABSTRACT

One lesson that should be changed is the language learning, especially writing. During this time teachers apply learning techniques based lectures and textbook assignments without providing other learning variations. Techniques such learning course makes students feel bored and lazy to develop her writing skills. If the teacher can apply fun learning course students' motivation to write will appear.

The purpose of this study was to: (1) to know how to use strategies (Foxfire) in learning Writing Skills of Senior Islamic of Muhammadiyah 9 Lamongan, (2) to determine the effectiveness of using strategies (Foxfire) in learning Writing Skills of Senior Islamic of Muhammadiyah 9 Lamongan.

To achieve the above objectives, used quantitative study using an experimental method. The key instrument is the researchers themselves, and data collection techniques used were written tests, observation and interviews. Data were analyzed by reducing irrelevant data, presented data and draw conclusions.

The results showed that, (1) teachers and students agree on which places they would be visited, students conduct studies directly to the place that has been
predetermined, describes the results of his students in class, the results of students
paintings on display in the classroom bulletin board.  (2) the use of strategies (Foxfire) in learning Writing Skills of Senior Islamic of Muhammadiyah 9 Lamongan effective with the results of the count t t-test showed that the result is 5, 75% greater than the t-table (table significance) 1% = 2.42% and 5% = 2.68%. Thus the t-test results can be received.

ABSTRAK

Salah  satu  pembelajaran  yang  harus  diubah  yaitu  pembelajaran  bahasa, khususnya  menulis.  Selama  ini  guru  menerapkan  teknik  pembelajaran  ceramah dan penugasan berbasis  buku teks tanpa memberikan variasi pembelajaran  yang lain.  Teknik  pembelajaran  semacam  itu  tentu  membuat  siswa  merasa  bosan  dan malas  untuk  mengembangkan  keterampilan  menulisnya.  Jika  guru  dapat menerapkan  pembelajaran  yang  menyenangkan  tentu  motivasi  siswa  untuk menulis akan muncul.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan strategi (foxfire) dalam pembelajaran maharah kitabah di Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 9 Lamongan, (2) untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan strategi (foxfire) dalam pembelajaran maharah kitabah di Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 9 Lamongan.

Untuk mencapai tujuan di atas, digunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen.  Istrumen kunci adalah peneliti sendiri, dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes tulis, observasi dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi data yang tidak relevan, memaparkan data dan menarik kesimpulan.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) guru  dan  siswa  menyepakati  tempat  mana  yang  akan dikunjungi, siswa  melakukan  kajian  langsung  ke  tempat  yang  telah ditentukan  sebelumnya, siswa memaparkan hasil tulisannya di depan kelas. (2) penggunaan strategi (foxfire) dalam pembelajaran maharah kitabah di Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 9 Lamongan efektif   dengan hasil hitungan t-test menunjukkan bahwa hasil t adalah 5, 75%  lebih besar dari pada t-tabel (table signifikasi) 1% = 2,42% dan 5% = 2,68%.
