ABSTRACT The approach of Arabic environment (Bi?ah Lughowiyah) is a learning approach which aims to enhance students? skill in learning Arabic language through environment as the learning source. Speaking skill is one of productive skills focusing on students? skill to use Arabic language correctly and it becomes the main core in the curriculum of Arabic learning. Islamic boarding school Wali Songo Ngabar conducts several activities which aim to develop and enhance students? skill in Arabc learning such as Muhadhoroh (Scpeech Contest), Muhadatshah (Conversation), Qismu Tarqiyatil Lughoh (Language Improvement Section). This study is aimed to know Arabic environment establishment formally (inside the classroom) and non-formally (outside the classroom), the establishment strategy, the obstacle and supporter factors of Arabic environment which influence to students? speaking skill, the role of appropriate Arabic environment in enhancing speaking skill in this Islamic boarding school. This study uses qualitative method with case study approach. The data sources are taken from utterances, acts, situation, and document. The instrument used in this study is observation, interview, and documentation method. The data analysis methods used are data description, reduction, data classification, and critical analysis. The results of this study are: (1) Arabic environment in Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School: 1) Natural Bilingualism, consists of Arabic learning inside and outside the classroom. 2)Artificial Bilingualism, consists of: a. social environment, b. school?s regulation environment. (2) The stages of Arabic environment establishment strategy in Islamic boarding school for female Wali Songo Ngabar: a. planning of Arabic environment establishment, b. applying of Arabic environment establishment. (3) The supporter factors of Arabic environment which influence to students? speaking skill as follows: position and positive reward from the whole Islamic boarding school citizens toward students? speaking skill in Arabic language, learning material and explanation which is in the form of Arabic language, the existence of guide in learning Arabic, the obligation of each student to use Arabic language in daily activity in Islamic boarding school, the use of various methods, m} }
