The film describes Ruth Bader Ginsburg's (RBG) struggles to obtain gender equality in the United States during 1956-1970. It aims to find out gender inequality through the actions and dialogues in the movie. The method used in the study is qualitative research methods and focused on feminist literary criticism as the approach. The researcher specifies the liberal feminism theory of John Stuart Mill in the essay entitled The Subjection of Women to analyze the film. There are three objectives in this study, firstly to find out the forms of gender inequality, secondly, to find out the causes of gender inequality, and finally, to find out the impacts of gender inequality in the movie. From the data has been collected and analyzed, the researcher concludes that two forms of gender inequality occur in the film, namely, gender discrimination and women's limitation in the public sphere. The causes of gender inequality are the social construct and gender-based law. As for the impact of gender inequality, it is detrimental to both men and women, also threatening the next generation.} }
