This study applies the qualitative method. Heteronormativity by Gayle Rubin is used as the main theory in this study. In collecting the data, the writer conducted depth analysis and interpretation of the movie with help of numerous supporting data. The findings obtained are in the form of actions, sentences, and dialogues that show the representation of heteronormativity and negotiation established by Simon. There are three results of heteronormativity representation; (1) Simon is considered a homosexual as he attracted to the same sex, (2) Society still adopts the traditional belief of gender binary which presumes one?s sexuality is only oriented to the opposite sex, and (3) The social punishments targeted to Simon as the consequences of being homosexual. As for the outcome of the negotiation, Simon conducted two negotiations on heteronormativity; hiding and disclosing.} }
