Cardiovascular disease is caused by atherosclerosis associated with hypercholesterolemia, especially increased levels of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL). Patients with type 2 diabetes who have increased levels of LDL are at greater risk of suffering from hypertension. The purpose of this study was to determine differences LDL levels in patients with type 2 diabetes with hypertension and normotension. This type of research is a literature study. The sample used in this study was DM type 2 sufferers aged over 40 years who did not have complications. LDL levels are measured by direct homogenous assay method. Data analyzed descriptively. The results in this study were obtained p value = 0.000 in Rinandyta, SA research, p value = 0.0001 in Wijanarko et al research and p value = 0.0001 in Siregar, J. research. This study found significant differences in LDL levels of type 2 diabetes patients with hypertension and normotensive with p value <0.05 based on all three past research used as a reference in this study.} }
