Tilapia fish scales can be used as an alternative material for collagen because it has not been processed optimally, but it can produce 0.63% collagen with acid solvents, according to Hartati (2010) enzymes can be used as collagen solvents with the advantage of producing more yield. The development of pharmaceutical technology demands the formation of nano-collagen that shows a therapeutic effect more quickly (Pringgadani, 2018). Collagen extraction from tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) scales was enzymatically carried out with papain enzyme as solvent, the particle size reduction method used was a magnetic stirrer. Collagen and nano-collagen were compared with their physical and chemical test results to determine the effect of particle size reduction treatment. Extraction of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) scales using papain enzyme resulted in a yield of 31.2 g. The treatment of nano-particles on yield did not show a significant effect on the water content test, ash content test, protein content test, and fat content test, but gave an effect on physical properties on organoleptic tests and acidity tests. The yield from the extraction met the standards for determining the degree of acidity and water content, while the yield with the treatment of nanoparticles met the standards for determining the water content.} }
