Cadmium that is accidentally ingested can cause various damage to the body's physiological systems. Secondary metabolites that are capable of binding metals are flavonoids, alkaloids and tannins. One of the foods containing these secondary metabolites is tempe koro benguk (Mucuna pruriens L.). In this study, a cadmium metal binding test was carried out with ethanol 70% extract of koro benguk tempe (Mucuna pruriens L.), by mixing 20 ppm cadmium metal solution with each concentration of koro benguk tempe extract sample with a variation 2 ppm, 4 ppm, 6 ppm, 8 ppm and 10 ppm for 30 minutes. The remaining cadmium measured by the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry. The aims of this research were to know the ability of ethanol extract of 70% koro benguk tempe (Mucuna pruriens L.) to reduce content of cadmium (Cd) metal and the concentration of ethanol extract of 70% koro benguk tempe (Mucuna pruriens L.) that can reduce the highest content of cadmium (Cd) metal. The results of this research were showed that the concentration of 70% ethanol extract of koro benguk tempe (Mucuna pruriens L.) 6 ppm can reduce the content of cadmium (Cd) metal of 76,21%.} }
