Used to clean the face area, so as to be able to remove dirt and oil thoroughly on the face. Facial wash is one of the alternatives to anti-acne that is more practical and more economical. Currently, many circulating facial washes that contain antibacterial substances. The purpose of this study was to find out the effectiveness of several brands of facial wash on staphylococcus aureus growth. The design used in this study is qualitative descriptive using sampling techniques, namely quota sampling. The study was conducted at the National STIKES Microbiology Laboratory in December-April 2022. The sample of this study is 5 Facial wash products obtained in several Sukoharjo supermarkets. Antibacterial effectiveness tests are performed by the Kirby bauer method, using mueller hinton agar media. The data obtained by observing the formation of radical zones in mueller hinton media agar and the inhibitory zone formed measured in mm units. The results of 5 samples with repetition as much as 3 times showed that all facial washes were able to inhibit Staphylococcus aureus bacteria with an average sample yield of 7,14mm. Negative control results are not able to inhibit bacteria and positive control results are able to inhibit bacteria. Data is depicted in the form of a results table. Based on research data, several brands of facial wash can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and there are differences in the ability of the inhibitory zone formed from various brands of facial wash in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.} }
