		abstract={The study aims at describing the Speech Act oF Commissive in the novel the fault in our stars with an
approach of pragmatic perspective. The writer analyzed the use of speech acts delivered by the
utterances in the dialogue in the novel form speech act of commissive. The theory used in this
analyse, the concepts stated by George Yule (1996:54) commissives is the utterance is produces to
give action in the future. They are threat, promise, warning, offering, and refuse, and etc. They
can be performed by the speaker alone or by speaker as a member of group.
