The affecting factor to decrease platelets during storage is the length of donor blood storage, this is because platelet is cells that have a short life of 8-14 days. Previous study by Ony Suciati (2011) states there is a significant difference of platelet counts stored for more than 1 week. This study is aimed to know the difference between platelet counts in blood donor immediately and saved 2, 4, 6, and 8 days. This study type used pre-experiment and Pretest Posttest design. This study materials were complete blood bag (Whole Blood) and anticoagulant CPDA-1. Based on the Federer formula obtained 5 times replication. The ANOVA results showed sig value <0,013 means <0,05 so there was difference of platelet counts immediately and saved 2, 4, 6, 8 days. But LSD statistical result showed sig value> 0.05, the meaning there was no difference between platelet counts in donor blood stored 2,4,6,8 days to platelet counts immediately. This difference occur due to increase platelet counts in the stored donor blood for 2 days. This study results were not in accordance with the hypothesis. So this study, Ho is accepted and concluded that there is no difference between platelet counts in donor blood stored 2, 4, 6, 8 days to platelet counts immediately with sig value > 0.05.} }
