Eye shadow cosmetics are a type of decorative cosmetics that use synthetic dyes to produce attractive colors. This study aims to determine the level of rhodamine B dye contained in eye shadow cosmetic products circulating in the Batuah Martapura market. Quantitative method of rhodamine B analysis in samples using UV-Visspectrophotometry method. The sample examined was a sample of registered foreign products that were not registered from BPOM sold at the Batuah Martapura market. The sample was prepared using a method of absorbing wool yarn. Determination of the content was carried out by UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 555 nm. Based on this analysis showed that all positive samples contained rhodamine B and eye shadow samples which had the highest levels of rhodamine B with a D code of 0,133 mg/gram. It can be concluded that rhodamine B coloring is still used as a dye in eye shadow cosmetics. Keywords: Cosmetics, Eye Shadow, Rhodamin B, UV-Vis Spectrophotometry} }
