In Indonesia, the rules regarding the use of pigments that are allowed and forbidden for food regulated by regulation of the Minister of health the number 033 in 2012 on food additives. Especially like the community however less Rhodamin B knows that a textile dye used in food can cause health problems such as cancer and tumors of the body on the organs of the human body. The purpose of research to determine the relationship of the price of tomato sauce use of Rhodamin B in Mogadishu markets, and this research is both analytic survey. The population of this research was the sample taken in a tomato sauce of simple random sampling. Prices of tomato sauce were taken based on price levels are low, medium and high. The price range between Rp. 1-500-3000/product. Inspection is carried out using the Reagent and the Toluen SbCl5 Reagents where a positive reaction is indicated by a red ring is formed. Price tiers based on the research of tomato sauce use of Rhodamin B in Mogadishu market of 8 samples with cheap price range Rp. 1.500/product (33,3%) positif the category of moderate price range Rp. 2.500/product (33,3%) positive and the category of the expensive price range Rp. 3.000/products (0%) negative contains Rhodamin b. results of statistical tests by using test chi square, that there is no tomato sauce price relationship against the use of Rhodamin b. this study it can be concluded that the use of Rhodamin B does not have an effect on the price range, whether it is cheap or expensive, are being.
