The presence of diabetes mellitus (DM) further adds to the severity of CHD because high glucose levels will accelerate the hardening of the arteries. This study aims to determine the relationship between the incidence of Diabetes Mellitus and the Severity of Coronary Heart Disease in patients undergoing angiography at RSUD Sidoarjo. The type of research used is correlational with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used was Simple random sampling with a sample of 82 patients undergoing angiography at RSUD Sidoarjo in October - December 2022. The data obtained from this study found that 54 people (65.9%) did not suffer from diabetes mellitus, 41 respondents (50%) have severe CHD severity. The results from the chi square test analysis show that the significance value (p-value) is 0.361 (?0.05). These results indicate that there is no relationship between the incidence of diabetes mellitus and the severity of coronary heart disease in patients undergoing angiography at RSUD Sidoarjo. Seeing these results which state that there is no relationship between the incidence of diabetes mellitus and the severity of coronary heart disease, it is necessary to explore other risk factors that affect the severity of coronary heart disease other than DM or other scores can be used to assess the severity of CHD such as the Gensini score and Bogaty score. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, CHD severity, angiography.} }
