Cokrokusumo Komplek Kelapa Sawit 8 Banjarbaru Kalimantan Selatan ABSTRAC Prevention of infectious disease is one of the actions that are important to all health care workers and the community in general. Antiseptic soap ingredient commonly found in liquid hand soap that is chloroxylenol. This study aims to determine the number of bacteria on the swab washing hands with liquid hand soap. This research is an analytical survey. Samples were taken by random sampling that is appropriate composition. Result swab praktikan hands with the female gender that samples A, B, and C before washing hands show the result for >3.0 x 105 col/ml. After washing hands A sample of 4,6 x 104 col/ml, B sample of 4,8 x 104 col/ml, and C sample of 1,5 x 104 col/ml. While the sample of male sex that sample D, E, and F before washing hands showing the result of sample D 7,0 x 101 col/ml, E sample of 5,0 x 102 col/ml, and F sample of 9, 8 x 102 col/ml. After washing hands D sample of 6,6 x 103 col/ml, E sample of 1,0 x 102 col/ml, and F sample of 3,9 x 102 col/ml. Conclusion total number of bacteria before use of liquid hand soap samples A to F and the total number of germs after using liquid hand soap samples A to F.
