Abstract
Rhodamin B is a synthetic dye that is often used to colors textile, and also used to colors some food products, one of them is like jelly. Jelly is a meal that is tough and loved especially by childrens. Rhodamin B is a red dye that forbidden to be used as BTP. Rhodamin B can causes an infection in liver, kidney , liver function disturbance, broken liver, even can causes liver cancer. The aim of this research is to research rhodamin B existance with woll method to jelly that is sold in food stall in batuah market in martapura and to find presentation out about jelly sale that containses rhodamin B. This research is a descriptive research. The sample is taken in a total sampling manner, that is 11 red jelly samples. The data tabulation is collected with observation way and invetigate rhodamin B dye in jelly with woll curse test method and rhodamin B kit test. In woll curse test, the sample will be positive contens rhodamin B, if after washing with amoniak remains red dye in the woll, and in rhodamin B kit test, the sample will be positive , if red dye or color intensity appear. The result shows that from 11 samples that are researched, there are 11 samples that positive contains rhodamin B with woll curse test method and rhodamin B kit test method. Based on this result we can conclude that, rhodamin B content in jelly that is sold in food stall in batuah market martapura is positive 100%. Because of that it is necessary a supervision and guidance from related agency about BTP use and for people to be more careful to choose meals or drinks that colors light red.
