		abstract={The purpose of this research is to know the ratio of farmer's income before and after change the function of paddy rice field to red chili and to know what factors influence the land function change in Desa Sidodadi Ramunia, Kec. Beringin, Kab. Deli Serdang. Method of determining area of research conducted by purposive, while for method of determination of sample used slovin method with error rate 10% obtained sample about 43 samples. Data analyzed by Paired Samples t Test and multiple linear regression analysis assisted by Microsoft Excel and SPSS software. From result of Paired Samples t Test obtained by result of significance equal to 0,001 <0,05 which mean there was a real difference in paddy rice income before and after conversion of land into red pepper. Results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained factors that significantly affect the conversion of paddy rice field to red chili in the research area is red chili income and feasibility of red chili farming.}
