		abstract={The purpose of the research was to analyze the land conversion that occured in the area of research and to analyse factors that affecting the occurrence of land conversion of land into citrus coffee in the area of research. The determination of the area of research in purvosive (intentionally). The method of determining the number of samples used method of the sample slovin obtained about 45 samples. The sample used for determination method of simple random sampling. The sample is the coffee farmers convert land. Methods of data analysis used in this study is the method of Multiple Linear Regression.
The results showed that (1) the conversion of land in the Desa Pegagan Julu V, Kecamatan Sumbul, Kabupaten Dairi that occurred due to the selling price of coffee that is lower than the selling price of oranges, citrus farmers due to move due to the eruption of Mount Sinabung and high cost of living of family farmers. (2) the number of dependents only partially farmers, land tenure and the influential farm families spending real in coffee land conversion, while commodity prices of coffee, the age of farmers and extension agencies role has no effect in real the coffee land conversion.}
