		abstract={Tifoid fever is an acute gastrointestinal infection caused by Salmonella typhi. Paratifoid fever is a similar disease caused by Salmonella Paratyphi A, B, and C. This study uses a descriptive qualitative design with a case study approach that aims to the overview of nursing care for 2 pediatric clients who have the same characteristics, such as pre-school age, have a major problem of anxiety and a medical diagnosis of tifoid fever. After conducting a nursing assessment, An. C and An. D has experienced anxiety since being admitted to the hospital. Found 4 diagnoses in An. C and 3 diagnoses in An. D. In the diagnosis of anxiety, the author takes independent action, namely play therapy for 3x24 hours. In the last stage, evaluate all diagnoses in An. C and An. D has been resolved according to the criteria of 3x24 hours. Play therapy conducted by researchers has proven to be effective in reducing anxiety levels in pediatric clients who experience anxiety due to hospitalization. Children who are hospitalized with a diagnosis of tifoid fever can experience anxiety due to environmental changes, fear of separation from their parents, and fear of leaving their daily habits. Anxiety is confusion or worry about something that happens with unclear causes and is associated with feelings of uncertainty and helplessness as a result of an assessment of an object. The implementation time of 3 days in May 2021 at RSAU dr. Esnawan Antariksa.
