The aim of this research is to know the shape and length of barrier, also the effective receiver height to muffle the traffic noise in SMAN 2 Cibinong. The measurement using Noise Analyzer Briiel & Kjaer Type 2250 with plywood as the material. The result of measurement was analyzed by using Insertion Loss method, which is the difference of the noise before and after the barrier is used. The result of this research show that the barrier with a length of 200 cm and 30 cm of height receiver and 45° of shape curved is more effective to reduce the noise in SMAN 2 Cibinong, compared to other variation of barrier length. Barrier type II with 200 cm length and a height of the recipient of the most effective in reducing the noise at high frequency (1 kHz-8 kHz) with a value of Insertion Loss of 6.9-27.9 dB. The relation of the Insertion Loss value in high frequency is the longer the barrier is, the more effective it is to reduce the noise. The recommended barrier material for SMAN 2 Cibinong is reinforce concrete with a length of 20 m and a height of 3 m.} }
