Keywords : Skimming Technique, Descriptive Text, Reading Comprehension The objectives of this research are to find out teaching reading using skimming technique can improve reading comprehension of descriptive text at tenth grade of MA Nurul Muttaqin Wedi Kapas Bojonegoro. The research design of this study is classroom action research (CAR) using conducting interview with teacher and students, test for students and observation in the English class as the instrument. There are two cycle in this research, the result are there was any significant enhancement from cycle I up to cycle II, It was shown at the improvement achievement of reading comprehension of descriptive text of class X students in MA Nurul Muttaqin Bojonegoro. There were 18 students or 90% who got score equal or more than standard score of KKM, namely 70 in cycle II or the last cycle of this research. This result was better than cycle I where there were only 15 students or 75% who got score equal or more than standard score of KKM. The researcher concludes that the result of the research is there was a significant improvement of tenth grade students? reading comprehension through the implementation of skimming technique at MA Nurul Muttaqin in academic year 2018/2019. It is hoped that it can be valuables as the information resource for the students, teachers, and the researcher. Hopefully, this becomes valuable and useful knowledge as a source of information for students, teachers, and researchers.} }
