Keywords: Analysis, Psychology, Novel The background of this research is because there are problems and sadness and even anger hidden by the main character so that this novel can be studied using Abraham Maslow's theory. The purpose of this study was to find out the psychological aspects of the main character in Tere Liye's Sesuk novel and to describe and explain Tere Liye's Sesuk novel in relation to learning Indonesian in high school. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using a textual psychological approach. The presence of researchers as observers and collectors of documentation. The subject of this research is the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye. The data sources for this study are primary and secondary sources, the primary sources include the psychology of the main character in the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye using text as the main medium, and the secondary sources for this research include the intrinsic elements contained in the novel. Data collection techniques were carried out by reading techniques, grouping techniques, analysis techniques and note taking techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study used content analysis techniques. The data validation techniques used in this study were source triangulation, technical triangulation and time triangulation. In this study it is interpreted that Tere Liye's novel Sesuk has psychological aspects with Abraham Maslow's theory. The psychological aspects that have been studied found five psychological elements, namely physiological needs which contained 46 data, the need for a sense of security contained 39 data, the need for love and belonging contained 4 data, the need for appreciation contained 58 data, and the need for self-actualization contained 11 data.} }
