@thesis{thesis, author={Eliza Tyas Damayanti}, title ={Prototype sistem smart hitrash monitoring dan manajemen sampah berbasis internet of things}, year={2020}, url={https://repository.ittelkom-pwt.ac.id/5613/}, abstract={Indonesia is a country with a high population level. Indonesia is in the top four as the country with the most population in the world. With the density of the population, waste deposits in Indonesia have also increased. In 2016, landfills reached 65.2 million tons. In 2016, several landfills experienced landslides due to uncontrolled landfill. However, the government's effort to manage waste has only reached 55%. Based on these problems, a tool and information system was created that could help the cleaning staff in controlling the amount of waste from household units, so that the landfill waste can be controlled properly. This study was designed using NodeMCU ESP 8266 as a microcontroller and sensors such as proximity sensors as object detectors, servo motors as automatic trash can openers, ultrasonic sensors to measure waste height, load cell sensors to measure waste weight and the Global Positioning System (GPS) module for detect the location of the trash location. This research applies the prototyping method, through three stages, starting from listen to customer, design and building and evaluations. Hardware functional testing is done ten times, the test results are obtained that the tool is 100% working well. The Smart Hitrash system provides notifications via the telegram application that serves as a reminder and detail of the trash can data in the HiTrash application in the form of trash height, garbage weight and trash bin location Keywords: Android, Internet of Things, Prototyping, Smart HiTrash, Trash} }
