The media used today for long-distance transmission is made of glass or is called optical fiber. During the propagation process along the optical fiber,light will experience attenuation and signal widening. To overcome signal attenuation and widening, an optical amplifier can be used wothout conversion from an electric form to an optical signal. One of the optical amplifier without conversion is the Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) amplifier with Raman Optical Amplifier (ROA). This study compares the EDFA-ROA amplifier and the Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) on the Dumai-Batam submarine with a distance of 331 km using the Optisystem 7.0 software. The simulation uses 20channels of Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM), 3, 6, and 8 dbm power variation with Bit Rate 100 Gbps, EDFA gain 9,4 dB, Attenuation Dispersin Compensanting Fiber (DCF) 0.2 db/km, Single Mode Fiber Attenuation (SMF) 0.2 db/km, and a pump laser on the raman of 110,140,170 mW. Based on the simulation result, it shows that the best use of Optical Amplifier is Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) with an average parameter value on SNR 28.82654 dB, Q-factor 20.32711, BER 1.47x10^-61 and Power Receive -12.8641. Fro these parameter values, is found that the Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) is superior to the EDFA-ROA amplifier nd EDFA Amplifier when implemented in the Dumai-Batam submarine with a distance of 331 km.} }
