 Crankshaft is working to change the engine kompnen straight back and forth motion of the piston by the piston rod intermediary into rotary motion. To change this, the process requires a pen crank crankshaft (crank pin, an additional bearing is placed at the end of the drive shaft in each cylinder. The supporting factors for the smooth running of this crankshaft, one of which is lubricating oil, as lubrication is ha very important for machine parts that are always rubbing  Given the importance of the existence of a function of the crankshaft of the engine components must be treated properly. In this case the author uses the Fault Tree Analysis method, where the method of analysis, there is an undesired event called undesired event occurs in the system, and the system. Then analyzed the environmental and operational conditions that exist to find all the possible ways that lead to the undesired event.   By carrying out these procedures are expected operational diesel generator system can function normally and the maximum, so the shipping activities and the company did not experience losses due to disruption of operation of a ship. At the end part of the thesis the author presents conclusions and suggestions
