Work in the ships place is high of risk, risk of accident like people falling
down from high cargo during unlashing cargo in MV. African Wind. The accident
happen because crew not use safety belt and not follow standard operational
procedure (SOP) work with correctly. So all crew must be always uses safety
equipment like a safety belt, safety helmet, safety shoes, safety glove and goggles
to reduce risk of accident during work in cargo operations at ship.
From observation and identification the mostly of work accident is from
crew not uses safety equipment during work in cargo operation at ship. So that is
because less of control and checking from officer about discipline crew uses
safety equipment during work. And also less of knowledge procedure uses safety
equipment with correctly to make crew conscious with safety him self during
working.
Analysis and investigate from the accident, so officer on board must be
give the punishment to crew offend the rule and not use safety equipment. give the
safety meeting about procedure uses safety equipment to increase discipline crew
to uses safety equipment and minimum work accident in the ship.
