		abstract={A Contract Change Order is an adjustment to the volume of certain activities in a construction project. When a Contract Change Order occurs in a project, it a causes a change to project duration and cost. Literature study shows that there are eight factors that result to Contract Change Order including design changes. This research aims to find the factors that cause Contract Change Order in Gelora Bung Karno Projects and impact project duration. The approach applied in this research is qualitative based on interview to several key pesonel in the project. The result shows that there are five among eight factors causing Contract Change Order in Gelora Bung Karno project, which are design, scope, schedule, policy and implementation in the field. Interestingly, this research finds that another factor, material from suppliers is also causing Contract Change Order in the project. Those factors give impact to project duration.}
