		abstract={The purpose of the research is (1) to find out the students’ writing descriptive text before using Flash Card Media (2) to find out the students’ writing descriptive text after using Flash Card Media and (3) to find out the effectiveness of Flash Card Media at the tenth grade of SMANegeri 3 Nganjuk in the academic year of 2019/2020.
The methodology of the research is experimental with one group pre-test and post-test. The research was done in SMA Negeri 3 Nganjuk in the academic year of 2019/2020 by using the population of the whole class X 359 students, while the sample used by the researcher is the class X-IPS 3 by number of class is 36 students. The technique of sampling is using purposive sampling. The collecting data used test and observation. The class of X-IPS 3 as the experimental class and the technique of data analysis used to analyze the data in this research is statistical analysis data t-test.
Based on the results of the test, students show the pre-test average score 65,22 and post-test 82,53. The score category is good from most of them. Based on the result of analysis level is 36 by value table is 1,689 and the value of t-test is 7,368. it can be concluded as follow: ttest > t table so,Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So that there is significant difference between students’ writing descriptive text before taught by using flash card media and after taught by using flash card media at the tenth grade of SMA Negeri 3 Nganjuk in the academic year of 2019/2020.}
