Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan: 1) deskripsi pengaruh antara metode ceramah bervariasi dan metode discovery learning terhadap keterampilan menulis teks narasi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sudimoro tahun pelajaran 2022/2023, 2) deskripsi pengaruh antara minat baca tinggi dan minat baca rendah terhadap keterampilan menulis teks narasi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sudimoro tahun pelajaran 2022/2023, 3) deskripsi pengaruh metode discovery learning dan minat baca terhadap keterampilan menulis teks narasi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sudimoro tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Metode penelitian ini merupakan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen dan desain penelitian treatment by level 2 x 2. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII B SMP Negeri 1 Sudimoro tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik puposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji analysis of variance (ANAVA) dua jalur. Hasil analisis data penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: 1) terdapat pengaruh antara metode ceramah bervariasi dan metode discovery learning terhadap keterampilan menulis teks narasi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sudimoro tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 atau diperoleh nilai sig. = 0,000 < 0,05. 2) tidak terdapat pengaruh antara minat baca tinggi dan minat baca rendah terhadap keterampilan menulis teks narasi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sudimoro tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 atau diperoleh nilai sig. = 0,318 > 0,05. 3) tidak terdapat pengaruh metode discovery learning dan minat baca terhadap keterampilan menulis teks narasi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sudimoro tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 atau diperoleh nilai sig. = 0,194 > 0,05. This study aims to produce: 1) the descriptions of influence between variation of preaching methods and learning method on writing narrative text skills of class VII State Junior High School 1 Sudimoro in 2022/2023, 2) the descriptions of influence between high reading interest and low reading interest on writing narrative text skills of class VII State Junior High School 1 Sudimoro in 2022/2023, 3) the descriptions of influence between the method of recovery learning and reading interest on writing narrative text skills of class VII State Junior High School 1 Sudimoro in 2022/2023. The method of research was quantitative with an experiment approach and research design of Treatment by level 2 x 2. This study sample was a seventh grade student VII A and VII B State Junior High Scool 1 Sudimoro in 2022/2023. The sampling was carried out with a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were used interview, observations, tests, and quiries. Data analysis techniques were used two ways analysis test of variance (ANAVA). The results of the research data analysis can be concluded that: (1) there was an influence between preaching methods varies and learning methods on narrative text skills of class VII State Junior High School 1 Sudimoro in 2022/2023 or obtained sig. = 0,000 < 0,05. (2) there was no influence between high reading interest and low reading interest in narrative text skills of class VII State Junior High School 1 Sudimoro in 2022/2023 or obtained sig. = 0,318 > 0,05. (3) there was no influence between interest in the learning method and reading interest in writing narrative text skills of class VII State Junior High School 1 Sudimoro in 2022/2023 or obtained sig. = 0,194 > 0,05.
