Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejarah dan perkembangan Kesenian Tayub serta eksistensi Kesenian Tayub di Desa Wonosobo Kecamatan Ngadirojo Kabupaten Pacitan. 
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yang memiliki empat langkah yaitu tahap heuristik, tahap verifikasi, tahap interpretasi, dan tahap historiografi.  
Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Desa Wonosobo terdapat Kesenian Tayub. Eksistensi Kesenian Tayub yang ada Di Desa Wonosobo mengalami kemunduran dan hilangnya para peminat, namun pada tahun 2016 Kesenian Tayub mulai menunjukkan eksistensinya kembali di tengah masyarakat. Kesenian Tayub kembali diperkenalkan kepada masyarakat Desa Wonosobo, terutama untuk generasi muda. Dan pada tahun 2016 bertepatan dengan Peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun Ke-71 Republik Indonesia diselenggarakan Lomba Kesenian Tayub yang diikuti oleh masyarakat. Antusias masyarakat juga terlihat dari banyaknya yang menonton Lomba Kesenian Tayub dari beragam usia.  Sehingga Kesenian Tayub sudah dikenal luas dan mendapat tempat di hati masyarakat. Eksistensi Kesenian Tayub juga memberikan pengaruh terhadap kehidupan masyarakat baik di bidang sosial, ekonomi, dan budaya masyarakat Desa Wonosobo.

ABSTRACT

Alfia Bella Saputri. The Existence of Tayub Art in Wonosobo Village, Ngadirojo District, Pacitan Regency in 2016. Thesis. Pacitan: STKIP PGRI Pacitan. 2023. 

This study aims to determine the history and development of Tayub Art and the existence of Tayub Art in Wonosobo Village, Ngadirojo District, Pacitan Regency. 
This study uses the historical research method, which has four steps: the heuristic stage, the verification stage, the interpretation stage, and the historiography stage.
The study results showed that in Wonosobo village, there is Tayub Art. The existence of Tayub Art in Wonosobo Village has experienced setbacks and the loss of enthusiasts, but in 2016 Tayub Art began to show its presence again in society. Tayub art was again introduced to the people of Wonosobo Village, especially the younger generation. And in 2016, to coincide with the commemoration of the 71st Birthday of the Republic of Indonesia, the community attended a Tayub Art Competition. The people's enthusiasm was also evident from the many people who watched the Tayub Art Competition of various ages. Furthermore, the Tayub art is widely known and has a place in people's hearts. The existence of Tayub Art also influences people's lives in the social, economic, and cultural fields of the people of Wonosobo Village.
