		abstract={Based on data Badan Pusat Statistik Indonesia 2019, the contribution of the 
logistics business sector to the Gross Domestic Product in the second quarter amounted to 
Rp 220.6 trillion. Logistics growth ranges from 12-13% or above the level of Indonesia
economic growth. PT. Suryagita Nusaraya is a logistic freight forwarder handling various 
cargoes including irregularity cargo which is according to GSBU is an occurrence of 
irregularities in services field. However, its implementation is not in accordance with 
standard operating procedures, consisting of overload cargo, missing cargo, damage 
cargo and found cargo. Irregular cargo handling is a solution to this deviation. Therefore, 
the researchers examined in more detail the handling of irregularity cargo at PT. Suryagita 
Nusaraya Bandung.. The study used a descriptive exploratory method with a qualitative 
approach. Purposive sampling technique with semi-structured interviews and reduction 
analysis techniques, presentation, conclusion drawing, data verification and triangulation. 
The results of this study found that in 2019 the company encountered three irregularity 
cargo, two overload cargo and one damage cargo. In practice the company had carried 
out according to existing procedures, but still had problems handling it. These problems 
are the difficulty of communicating with airlines in determining the responsibility for the 
cargo damage incident, so that quite a lot of time is consumed by both officers and 
customers. The recommendation that was obtained was the creation of a special division 
in handling cargo damage in order to improve communication between airlines and 
companies, as well as making special terms & conditions regarding cargo damage to 
clarify the company's position in the event of damage to cargo in the field..
