		abstract={This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to describe the implementation that has been carried out at Hotel Candi Indah in building the sharia hotel business as seen through the criteria of sharia hotels contained in the Guidelines for Organizing Halal Tourism. Data collection tools using interviews, observation, and documentation of 
each aspect. The informants of this research are the management of the Hotel Candi Indah Convention Semarang. After the data is collected then the validity of the data is 
tested with the Triangulation Method and analyzed with a descriptive qualitative analysis approach. The results of this study prove that the Hotel Candi Indah Convention Semarang does not meet the required criteria as a sharia hotel. This is related to there are several indicators that have not been met by the hotel. After knowing the actual picture, recommendations are given in the form of facilities that are not yet available and recommendations for matters relating to hotel operations. It is expected that from the recommendations given can develop the sharia hotel business at Hotel Candi Indah Convention Semarang so that further certification can be carried out.
