		abstract={This study examines the effect of land use change on surface runoff in SubDas Sail, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City.Land use change is closely related to runoff, Suripin (2014), so it is necessary to analyze the effect of land use change on water runoff. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of land use changes on surface runoff in the Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. In identifying changes in land use, the Land Use Map Overlay method was used in 2007, 2012 and 2017 with Quickbird Image Interpretation, to analyze the amount of runoff using the Cook Method, while to determine the effect of land use change on runoff, Simple Linear Regression analysis was used used is random sampling and the sample in this study is the independent variable (X) changes in land use and the dependent variable (Y) runoff water. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that the SubDas Sail area of Bukit Raya Subdistrict experienced changes in land use from 2007-2012 so that there has been a shrinkage of the land from not being built to being built and changing the water infiltration land to impermeable land, this has led to an increasing trend in the value of the surface runoff coefficient (C ), namely from 0.4691 in 2007 to 0.4759 in 2012 and in 2017 it increased to 0.4899. Furthermore, analyzing the effect of land use change on runoff with the Simple Linear Regression method, which is based on the analysis using SPSS 21 software, the results of the F test and the T test are significant values <0,}
