Trip generation is the number of trips that occur within a certain time period in a land use. School activities, especially during school operating hours, will directly affect traffic on the roads around the school. The disruption to the smoothness of traffic is caused by the activity of the entry and exit of vehicles from or to school and side obstacles that cause decreased road performance and increased obstacles or delays. This indication can be seen at SMPN 25 Pekanbaru which is located on Jalan Kartama. Based on Government Regulation no. 34 of 2006, Jalan Kartama is a primary local road with city status. The method used is the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (1997). The main aspect of the method consists of the current value and the capacity to determine the degree of saturation value. The concept used to determine the performance of road sections is obtained from the relationship between road service levels, traffic flow characteristics and volume to capacity ratio. The results showed that the traffic volume at the peak hour of the road segment occurred at 07.00-08.00 with a total of 975 vehicles, namely 517.8 pcu / hour. Meanwhile, the highest condition generation occurred on Monday at 06.30-07.30, namely at 42.5 pcu / hour, while the lowest condition occurred at 07.30-08.30 which was 2.1 pcu / hour. With the operation of SMPN 25 Pekanbaru, the degree of saturation obtained at the peak hour of traffic volume is 0.22 with service level B and the degree of saturation at peak hour of trip generation is 0.21 with service level B.} }
