		abstract={Illegal logging is still rampant due to the high market demand for timber from Indonesia. Many forests are victims of illegal logging. So that this act becomes an organized crime in large numbers. So that the authorities find it difficult to deal with acts that violate this legal provision. The research problems are, how is the proof of the illegal logging crime carried out in the Siak Sri Indrapura Regency in the Decision Number: 316/PID.B/LH /2017/PN.Siak, and how the judges consider in imposing the illegal logging crime in the Siak Sri Indrapura Regency. In Decision Number: 316/PID.B/LH/2017/PN.Siak. The research method is normative legal research in the form of document studies, namely by studying the case file for Decision Number: 316/PID.B/LH/2017/PN.Siak. Then this research is descriptive, where the researcher explains clearly and in detail about criminal acts and Judges' Considerations. The results of the study found that the Proof of Illegal Logging Crimes Conducted in Siak Sri Indrapura Regency in Decision Number: 316/PID.B/LH /2017/PN.Siak was based on the testimony of 7 witnesses, 1 expert testimony, and the defendant's statement. It is in accordance with the provisions of Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code where the evidence at the trial has proven the defendant guilty of committing a criminal act of Illegal Logging in Siak Sri Indrapura Regency, and Judges' Considerations in Imposing the Crime of Illegal Logging in Siak Sri Indrapura Regency In Decision Number: 316/PID.B /LH/2017/ PN.Siak is in accordance with the provisions of Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code where the defendant is sentenced to imprisonment for 1 (one) year and 4 (four) months and a fine of Rp. 1,000,000,000.00 (one billion rupiah) provided that if the fine is not paid, it is replaced with imprisonment for 4 (four) months, but the fine that must be paid by the defendant is very heavy and does not match the amount of the loss he has done.
