This Study Aimed to exploring students? motivation in learning English vocabulary at SMP Negeri 25 Kabupaten Sorong. The method of this study was used quantitative. To collect the data in this study was used observation and questioner, this study was used second grade as the the participants with total number of the participants 30 students from class VII A and VII B. the result of this study based on the students? motivation in learning English. Students in SMP 25 Kabupaten Sorong had high motivation as the table shows the data from class A & B second grade, 20 students from 30 participants have high score and 10 students from 30 participants have low score. The students? motivation to learning English their intrinsic motivation. were many factors that influence intrinsic motivation such as; interest, attitude, need, aspiration and incentive. The prove give the information that the students in SMP 25 Kabupaten Sorong have intrinsic motivation. The students are motivated by the enjoyment of the learning process itself or by their internal desire. The students want to learn English because English lesson gives them pleasure and develops a particular skill. In addition, the students learn English because they are interested with English and want to improve their English language.
