The aim was to determine the level of family knowledge with adherence to medication for patients with mental disorders in the Telaga Biru Health Center working area. This research design uses quantitative methods with a cross-sectional approach with the samples are 54 patients using sampling technique which is total sampling, The results showed there was a relationship between the level of family knowledge and adherence to taking medication for schizophrenia patients at the Telaga Biru Health Center with the results that 26 (86.7%) respondents had a good level of family knowledge with adherence to taking medication for mental disorders in the compliant category, 4 (13.3%) did not comply. respondent. And the level of family knowledge is not good with adherence to taking medication for mental disorder patients in the obedient category as many as 5 (23.8%) respondents, and respondents with poor knowledge in the non-adherent category are 16 (76.2%) respondents. The results of the statistical test obtained a value of p = 0.000 with ? <0.05. The conclusion is the better of family's knowledge, the more obedient the patient is in taking medication because the family's knowledge is still limited.
