		abstract={This research aims to find out the legal rules regarding the age limit for marriage and theconsiderations of Limboto Religious Court judges regarding requests for marriagedispensation. This research uses a descriptive juridical and empirical approach. Basedon the research results, the rules regarding the age limit for marriage have been regulatedin Law No. 16 of 2019, namely for men and women aged 19 years, and the number ofapplications granted at the Limboto religious court throughout 2020-2022 was 833 cases,7 cases were rejected, 2 cases were not accepted, 5 cases were dismissed, and 42 werewithdrawn. case. And for the judge's consideration in the marriage dispensation, the judgeconsiders the benefit, legal certainty, expediency. So it can be concluded that even thoughthe legal regulations regarding the age limit for marriage are clearly stipulated in thelaw, it does not rule out the possibility of underage marriages occurring.}
