		abstract={The high use of smartphones in preschool-aged children has shown an influence on their personal social development, therefore the government is currently drafting regulations regarding the use of smartphones in children. This research aims to determine the relationship between smartphone use and personal social development in preschool-aged children. The research method used an analytical survey and a quantitative approach at Irama Jaya Kindergarten, Ulapato A Village on September 5-October 5 2022. The population consisted of all parents of students who had smartphones and had children aged 4-6 years, a total of 43 people. A sample of 36 respondents was taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data collection on the duration of smartphone use used a question sheet, and personal social development data used Denver II, data processing used the chi-square statistical test. The results concluded that the use of smartphones with personal social development in preschool-aged children at Kindergarten Irama Jaya, Ulapato A Village, had a significant relationship (p value = 0.01 < ? = 0.05). It is expected that parents understand smartphones, and can identify their influence on the personal social development of preschool-aged children.}
