Poisoning can be handled if the knowledge and attitudes of prison staff know about information and counseling related to food poisoning. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of the level of knowledge and attitudes of prison staff on handling food poisoning at Lapas IIA, Gorontalo City. Correlational research method, the total population of 93 people with sampling using the slovin formula to obtain a total sample of 48 respondents. The results showed that there were 43 respondents with good knowledge and 41 respondents with good attitudes. The results of the chi-square analysis showed that there was an influence between the knowledge and attitudes of prison officers in handling food poisoning in IIA prison resilience with a value of P = 0.01 <0. 05. Suggestions that this research is expected to provide information related to the knowledge and attitudes of correctional officers in dealing with poisoning. In conclusion, there is an influence on the level of knowledge and attitudes of prison officers in handling food poisoning in detainees at IIA prison, Gorontalo City.} }
