		abstract={The pre-school age period is a golden age, where a child's development undergoes a very significant change, pre-school age children who use smartphones in frequent frequencies can experience inappropriate development. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between smartphone use and the development of preschool-age children in Azzahra Boalemo Kindergarten. Analytical survey research design with a cross sectional approach. The population of preschool-age children in Azzahra Boalemo Kindergarten is 50 students. The sample was 33 people with accidental sampling technique. Instruments used questionnaires and KPSP observation sheets. Statistical test using chi-square test. The results obtained by the use of smartphones category never the majority of child development corresponds to 30.3%, the use of smartphones category sometimes the majority of child development is detrimental by 45.4% and the use of smartphones category often has dubious child development of 3%, the results of the chi-square statistical test are 0.005. It was concluded that the use of smartphones is related to the development of pre-school age children in Azzahra Boalemo Kindergarten.}
