The impact of various aspects is the lengthening of the average length of stay (AVLOS), such as in medical and economic terms, which can be detrimental to both the hospital, the patient and the family. The purpose of this study was: to determine the relationship between the Average Length of Stay (AvLOS) and the Anxiety Level of the Patient's Family in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Room of Otanaha Hospital. This research method was carried out using a quantitative approach with a cross sectional design with a total sample of 22 people taken using a sampling technique, namely accidental sampling. The results showed that the majority of the respondents' length of stay were in the category of long stay ? 5 days, a total of 15 people or (68.2%) and moderate anxiety level of 10 people or (45.5%). There is a Relationship between AvLOS (Average Length Of Stay / Average Length of Stay) with Family Anxiety at Otanaha Hospital with p value = 0.03 <0.05). It was concluded that the length of stay was closely related to the incidence of anxiety experienced by the patient's family during the patient's stay at the hospital. Suggestions Nurses can prevent family anxiety by increasing effective communication with patients and their families.} }
