Babies with LBW have a lot of risk of experiencing problems in the body's system, due to an unstable body condition. Perinatal mortality in LBW babies is 8 times greater than normal babies. The prognosis for babies with LBW will be worse if the weight is getting lower. Death is often caused by neonatal complications such as asphyxia. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between low birth weight (LBW) and the incidence of asphyxia. The research design is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all referral babies and those born at Prof. Hospital. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe in the last three months as many as 54 babies with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. The sample of this research were 30 people. The results of the chi-square analysis test obtained a p-value
