		abstract={The high maternal mortality rate due to preeclampsia emphasizes the importance of management to prevent further complications, thus there is a need for prior assessment of what factors can cause preeclampsia in pregnant women. Pregnant women who experience preeclampsia require strict management and monitoring of their condition and their fetus therefore the disease does not develop more severely thus not to endanger the lives of the mother and the fetus. The Objective of research was to analyze the risk factors of preeclampsia in pregnant women at the Tolangohula Health Center, Gorontalo Regency. The  design is a quantitative descriptive study with a retrospective approach. This research was conducted at the Tolangohula Health Center. The number of samples is 27 people. The results of the chi-square analysis test obtained a p-value <? 0.05, it is concluded there is a relationship between maternal age, parity, history of hypertension, ANC visits and gestational age with preeclampsia in pregnant women. The existence of this research is expected to increase the knowledge and awareness of pregnant women about the importance of maintaining the health of mothers and babies during pregnancy.
