In a state of good nutrition, the body has enough ability to defend itself against infectious diseases. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers aged 0-5 years. A descriptive narrative research design with a literature review approach (literature study ). Data collection uses journal sites that have been accredited by Google Scholar, Garuda and Indonesia One Search (IOS), with the keywords "nutritional status; diarrhea". The population used in the literature is children under five years old with a sample size ranging from 26-176 children under five. The results of the research are a total of 9 literatures that are considered relevant to the purpose of this study, namely to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. 5 literatures get the same result that there is a relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers, while 4 other literatures get the opposite. It was concluded that there is a relationship between nutritional status and diarrheal disease in toddlers. Toddlers with declining nutritional status are more prone to diarrheal diseases. Malnutrition can lead to susceptibility to infection because of the negative impact of changes in the protection of the toddler's own body so that the toddler's own immune system decreases and he is susceptible to infections such as diarrhea} }
