		abstract={From the discussion in the previous chapter, the writer got some conclusions. According to the data presented and analyzed in the previous chapter, it could be concluded that pauses found in all of the data. The types of pauses occurred consisted of silent pause and filled pauses (lexicalized and unlexicalized). However, the filled pause occurences were only an unlexicalized type.
The factors of pauses in the conversations of the desk officers were confused to choose the next utterance to be executed, forgot the next utterance, and needed a long time to remind or think first before enunciated. The writer was quite difficult to find the right terms that could be used for understanding them. Therefore there was strategies that could be used. The strategies that they used were to say a new utterance and repeated the utterance. And also the use of repetitive exercises and drills would be a good solution.}
