Terhadap Staphylococcus aureus Secara In vitro}, year={2020}, url={https://repository.unair.ac.id/101360/}, abstract={This research was conducted to determine the antibacterial effect of baru cina to Staphylococcus aureus using dilution method. Baru cina (Artemisia vulgaris L.) have several active substance as an antibacterial agents such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tanins, saponin, sesquiterpene and terpenoids. Baru cina were extracted by maceration method using ethanol 96% solvent. Baru cina was diluted using aquadest and CMC Na 1%. Staphylococcus aureus is the bacteria that causes mastitis in dairy cows, nosocomial infection in animals, and bumblefoot in chicken. This research used S. aureus environmental isolates. The dilution method used five treatments and two control to determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and continued by streaking on the Mueller Hinton Agar (MHA) medium to determine the Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC). The treatment used were 6%, 8%, 10%, 12%, 14%, control negative and control positive. The treatment group contained of S.aureus and baru cina extract, control negative contained only suspention of S.aureus, control positive contained only baru cina extract, each treatment was repeated by four repetition respectively. The MIC test result showed baru cina extract treated inhibition to Staphylococcus aureus at 12% concentration. Minimum Bactericidal Concentration test result showed baru cina extract treated bactericide to S.aureus at 12% concentration.} }
