The problem of inundation or flooding often occurs when it rains on Jln. Prof. Dr. Nurcholis Majid which is a national road between provinces. The impact caused by these conditions is the severe damage to the physical condition of the existing road, as well as the occurrence of very long traffic jams and disrupting the smooth flow of traffic because the road cannot be passed by vehicles due to the high water level in puddles, even after the rain stops. For this reason, efforts need to be made to reduce the volume of inundated floods, namely by planning a retention pond. This retention pond serves to prevent flooding and as a place to hold excess discharge in the event of an overflow of water. If the water discharge begins to recede, the water in the reservoir will be returned to the river The data or information used is descriptive quantitative based on data from the relevant agencies. The data processing method uses manual calculations in accordance with rational methods and rational modification methods to calculate rain discharge. From the analysis results, the peak flood discharge value with a 5-year return period is 2.63 m3/second. The cross-sectional dimensions of the profile channel are b=1,50 m, d=1,50 m and w=1.00 m. Channel slope (i) = 0.005 0.5%. The storage volume needed in the Retention Pond is 14,970 m3. The capacity of the retention pond with a depth of 3.5 meters is 16,368 m3.} }
