		abstract={Natural, non-natural and social disasters can occur suddenly or slowly and cause a lot of loss of life and material, losses due to the low ability of the community to deal with disaster risk, so that mitigation efforts become a priority in the implementation of disaster management.
Law Number 24 of 2007 concerning Disaster Management and Government Regulation Number 21 and 23 of 2008 concerning the Participation of International Institutions and Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations in Disaster Management expressly provide opportunities for all parties including international institutions and foreign non-governmental organizations to play an active role in it.
This study aims to determine the participation of the United States in disaster mitigation efforts in Kab. Jombang using descriptive qualitative research methods, with data collection through library studies.
The results showed that the participation of the United States in disaster mitigation efforts in Kab. Jombang is the preparation of the Jombang Regency Natural Disaster Prone Profile, Training of Disaster Resilient Village Facilitators and the Formation of Disaster Resilient Villages that affect the Jombang Regency Regional Policy as evidenced by the addition of the Disaster Risk Reduction Program as a Jombang Regent's Priority Program.
