		abstract={ABSTRACT
Social media is an online medium, with its users being able to easily participate in, share, and create content for blogs, social networks, wikis, forums and virtual worlds. In fact, there are still many people who using social media is not appropriate for its use. Abused a lot various kinds of crimes through social media, so that it has a negative impact on its users. The purpose of this research is to enforce the law according to Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions against the crime of a YouTuber Ferdian Paleka through the use of Social Media.
The research method uses normative research techniques. Research focus
This is based on the laws and regulations regarding the application of the law
in cases of ITE violations in the use of social media.
The results of the study indicate that Law Enforcement
Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and related Electronic Transactions
with the criminal act of a youtuber through the use of social media already
according to what is done according to the stated law.
The conclusion is that there are still many people who use social media in Indonesia
who commit acts against the law on social media due to limitations knowledge of the ITE Law. In addition, obedience and awareness social media users are generally very low, so things This also causes legal regulations regarding social media users not to
