This research uses the Savonius Vertical Axis Wind Turbine. Gears are tools that function as transmitting power and rotation of the shaft so that the engine mechanism can work properly. This study uses a transmission that has 60 teeth and the number of pinion gears is 30 teeth, for the specifications of the driving gears it has a tooth height of 5 mm, the distance between teeth is 4 mm, the thickness of the gears is 13 mm, the overall diameter is 1160 mm and the specifications for the pinion gear have tooth height is 5 mm, the distance between the teeth is 4 mm, the gear thickness is 10 mm and has an overall diameter of 580 mm. In this study the researchers wanted to know the effect of the Gears on the output of the Generator, whether it could produce better power than previous researchers and what materials were needed to build this Savonius Vertical Axis Wind Turbine. In this study, testing of the Savonius Vertical Axis Wind Turbine was carried out on Jl. Totok Kerot, Kab. Jombang, Kec. Mojoagung. Researchers calculate Turbine Power, Wind Power, Power Coefficient, Electrical Power. With the greatest test results at 19.00. with an average wind speed of 5.4 m/s, 52 rpm turbine shaft rotation, 104 rpm gear output shaft rotation The resulting voltage is 11.2 Volts and the turbine efficiency is 0.508 %.} }
